The diesel locomotive that has been providing electrical power for the train broke down and had to be shut down for the night while it's repaired. Because of the only lights on the train would be the oil lamps and fireplaces for heat. The lodge where we had stopped offered everyone rooms and almost everyone took them up on it. We decided to stay on the train, build the fire up and build a fort using blankets next to the fireplace. We had no trouble keeping each other warm

Tonight was the tree trimming party at The Eagle's Nest Lodge. The staff from both lodges were there along with the guests for the retreat that will be starting soon at The Nest. Some of the guests for The Lodge's retreat were there as well. Tomorrow the people from the Lodge, staff and guests will board a special Christmas Train and make our way west. After the party we went back to our room and our nice, comfortable feather bed for some cuddling and playtime.

We're back at our summer home, our room at The Lodge. We're reminded that because of the Lodge's location in the mountains, even the warmest summer day can turn cool at night. At the request of some of The Lodge guests, Jack leads a small group on a camping trip up into the mountains. teaching them to live off the land. We go along to help. By the 2nd night we're above the snow line and even though it's mid summer, it is COLD. We cuddle in our tent and find ways to heat it up quite nicely.

We're back at the lodge now. There's no retreat going on but there are a few couples there for private counseling sessions. It's just too nice of a night to be inside so we all set up camp in the front yard of The Lodge. The tents are at camp so we make do with clothes line and blankets for everyone. Not that we use the tents. We sleep by the fire and after everyone is asleep, we have a little naughty playtime by the fire.

After some instruction we went sailing on the small lake. We paddled ashore in the inflatable raft for dinner and the campfire but then paddled back out to relax on deck then playtime in the cabin below deck Lets just say we rocked the boat a bit.
