It's afternoon on Christmas Day (Yeah, I know, we got WAY behind the calendar) We took our families and friends on the sleigh ride to Sunset Ridge where we all crammed into a cabin built for 2. We're finally back at the Lodge. We're cuddled up in our fort thinking back on past holidays. Our minds go back to that first valentines. We'd only been married a month and a half. We'd been putting aside money to get away for the weekend but a car problem ended that. I was able to pull a few strings and surprise my princess with a weekend at a very nice, but rustic Inn and cabins. We had a great day, dinner cooked in our room by a master chef, and then we did our own cooking under a down comforter. It was almost like the first time again, maybe better since now we were more comfortable with each other and knew what we each liked.

Everyone has gone ice fishing except Princess and I. I love fishing but prefer the summer variety. Besides, my choices were sit on a cold lake in the wind fishing, or spend some much needed alone time with my Princess. That took less than a nanosecond to decide. With the heater in the tent, the heating tubes in the sleeping bag and warm blankets over us in addition to the campsite being surrounded by tarps and blankets, we were plenty warm. But just to be sure, my princess and I created plenty of our own heat. We had a wonderful time and I'll have great dreams about her until next time.
