This week we’re looking at some of the stranger aftermaths of sex. We’re not talking carpet burns and banging your head on the headboard. Captivated
Sex at sea can be romantic and spontaneous, but it can also be dangerous. One Italian couple found this out for themselves when they became stuck together at the end of their escapade. A doctor was called to the scene but was unable to separate the lovers and had to take them to a hospital. This strange phenomenon is called penis captivus the medical term for the penis literally being held captive by the vagina. It happens when the muscles of a woman’s pelvic floor, which contract rhythmically during an orgasm, don’t relax after they contract. The man’s member becomes even more engorged with blood and before you know it, he can’t pull it out.
Blinding Orgasm
You may have thought going blind was something that happened with age. That wasn’t the case for one 29-year-old man in England. After a night of “vigorous sex” he noticed that vision in his left eye had been impaired. Doctors examined him and found a hemorrhage in his eye caused by a pressure build-up when he had an orgasm. Basically, the intense pressure from his climax caused a sudden increase in pressure behind his retina and resulted in a blood vessel bursting.
Kiss-tastrophy
Have you ever had one of those kisses where the noise of the world falls away? For one woman in China that became a long-term condition after she was kissed. Doctors explained that the extreme buss was so forceful, it reduced pressure in the woman’s mouth, pulled out her eardrum and created a loss of hearing. They are hopeful her hearing will gradually repair itself.
